Bike Safety - Weather conditions

Learn to adapt the way you cycle to rain, snow and slippery roads.

Description

This training teaches you how weather conditions affect the way you cycle. You compare a worn tyre with one in good condition and learn how to adjust tyre pressure in cold weather. You also practise how to take obstacles on a wet or slippery surface, why your braking distance increases and how to avoid a fall.

After this course you can

  • Assess the tread and condition of your tyres
  • Adjust tyre pressure in cold weather
  • Anticipate a longer braking distance in rain or on ice
  • Take obstacles safely on a wet surface
  • Recognize situations in which a fall is likely

Who is it for?

This training is intended for anyone who cycles to work or uses a bicycle during working hours.
