Forklift: What does a forklift driver see
Description
This training puts you in the seat of a forklift driver to experience firsthand how loads, blind spots, and mirrors affect visibility. You will learn how limited sightlines create hazards for both drivers and pedestrians. By the end, you will know how to adapt your driving behaviour to keep everyone in the workplace safe.
After this course you can
- Recognise how different load heights affect the driver's field of vision
- Identify blind spots and limited visibility situations when operating a forklift
- Understand when and why to drive in reverse to maintain safe visibility
- Apply safe driving behaviour in situations where vision is obstructed
- Explain the risks that reduced forklift visibility poses to pedestrians and colleagues
