Rautek maneuver - Technique
Description
This training covers the correct technique for performing the Rautek maneuver to evacuate injured or unconscious persons from dangerous locations. You will learn how to apply the grip on both lying and sitting individuals. By the end, you will be able to confidently and safely carry out this evacuation technique as a first-aid provider.
After this course you can
- Explain the purpose and application of the Rautek grip in first-aid situations
- Identify when and on whom the Rautek maneuver should be applied
- Demonstrate the correct body positioning when performing the Rautek grip
- Apply the Rautek technique on both lying and sitting persons
- Evaluate whether a performed evacuation was carried out safely and correctly
