Business Development Manager (International)

With Play it Safe, Play it Secure and our Play it Creator tool we offer learning solutions for (safety) training procedures, cyber security and GDPR and development of custom training for any company. Standard or customized, for medium-sized companies as well as large companies such as ABInBev, Coca-Cola, Bayer, Delhaize, Pfizer, Lidl, Borealis and Basic Fit. With our simulations, we help companies improve the knowledge and skills of their employees. And all because game-based learning works!

Challenge

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the international growth of our customer portfolio. Over a year ago, Play it took its first steps to accelerate international growth by setting up a team for the Dutch market. Meanwhile, the first Dutch customers are on board. With this new position, we aim to take it to the next level in our conquest of international markets.

You will be responsible for generating leads through prospection and events and also take care of the follow-up of inbound opportunities generated by the marketing team. You are responsible for the entire sales cycle up to and including the signing of the contract. Once customers are on board, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues from Customer Success, for expanding our turnover.

Responsibilities

• Your main responsibility is to build an international enterprise customer portfolio and revenue.
• You will search for new companies and challenges which you follow up from prospection to sales. Your focus will be on a selection of industries/sectors.
• You will ensure the right tracking and reporting of all opportunities in Play it's CRM system (Pipedrive).
• During meetings/demos, you will inform prospects about our solutions/tools and convince them of the power of game-based learning and the ROI it can bring to their organizations. You talk about training related to safety, prevention, cybersecurity, GDPR, etc....
• You will attend networking events and trade shows with the goal of meeting new people within our target audiences and highlighting and pitching our products.
• Once customers are on board, you will ensure a proper handover to the Customer Success team.
• You will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer.

Profile

Qualifications and requirements:

• You are based in Belgium and work in a hybrid form at home or from our offices in Kortrijk. Of course, as a Business Development Manager, you'll also be on the road a lot!
• You come to our offices in Kortrijk on average once or twice a week and/or to a sales meeting at another location in Belgium or the Netherlands.
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software in general.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a sales function within the target group of medium to large companies (500+ employees). Preferably you are familiar with at least one of the following target groups: HR managers, security experts, training/L&D departments, IT, cyber security or GDPR managers (DPO/CISO).
• You have the numbers to back up the success of these previous experience(s).
• You can show an initial experience in B2B Saas.
• Experience with HR tech, Edtech or gaming is a great asset.

• You are a good 'listener' who discovers the needs of the customers and with this information can propose specific solutions.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English. A good knowledge of French is a bonus.
• You are a strong communicator, in both oral and written communication.
