Stroke
Description
This training teaches you how to recognize a stroke and which steps to take immediately. You learn to apply the FAST test: assess the face for drooping, check the arms and the speech, and note the time. You also practise how to call for help, what to tell the emergency services and how to stay with the victim until help arrives. Acting fast significantly improves the chances of survival and recovery.
After this course you can
- Recognize the signs of a stroke, such as a drooping face or crooked mouth
- Apply every step of the FAST test
- Note the time at which the first symptoms started
- Call the emergency number and provide the right information
- Stay with the victim and reassure them until help arrives
Who is it for?
This training is intended for all employees who want to be prepared to act quickly when a colleague suffers a stroke.
