Fire prevention: Fire hose
Description
This training teaches you how to deploy a fire hose reel safely and correctly. You first assess the situation and position yourself safely. You then open the hose reel cabinet, check the seal and the condition of the hose, roll out the hose and set the nozzle. You also learn when a damaged hose must be replaced and how to operate the valve.
After this course you can
- Assess whether a fire hose reel is the right extinguishing method for the situation
- Open a hose reel cabinet and check the seal
- Inspect the hose for damage and replace it when necessary
- Set the nozzle correctly and operate the valve
- Position yourself safely while extinguishing
